Working in Rockville
Rockville is the county seat, and its homes cover almost every decade. Twinbrook went up right after World War II, and its first families moved in in 1948. In the 20851 ZIP around it, nearly 8 in 10 homes were built before 1980. King Farm, on what was once the county's largest dairy farm, and Fallsgrove are much newer.
So the work splits two ways. Older houses need sticking doors fixed and worn trim and stair parts replaced, and with about one in five people in the 20850 ZIP aged 65 or older, grab bars and handrails too. Newer townhouses and homes need TV mounts, shelves, keypad deadbolts and the small things the builder skipped.
