Privacy Policy

This page explains what I collect through callhandymanalex.com, what I do with it, and how to reach me about it. "I" and "me" means Alex, who runs Call Handyman Alex, a handyman business based in Germantown, Maryland.

What the quote form collects

When you send the quote form, I get:

• your name, phone number and ZIP code;
• what you wrote about the job;
• any photos you add;
• whether you checked "Text me back";
• which page of the site you sent it from.

Like most websites, my hosting provider also logs basic technical details, such as your browser type and IP address, to keep the site running and to stop spam.

Your photos

Before a photo uploads, your browser usually shrinks it to a smaller size, which also strips out hidden details such as the location where it was taken. If your browser can't do that, the original file is sent as is. I use your photos only to look at your job and price it. I won't post them anywhere without asking you first.

How I use it

I use what you send to reply about your job: to call or text you back, give you a price, and schedule the work. I don't add you to a mailing list, and I don't sell or rent your information to anyone.

Where it's kept

This site runs on Vercel. Your request and your photos are stored with Vercel, and a copy is emailed to me throughResend, an email delivery service. These companies handle the data for me so the site and the form work. They don't get to use it for their own purposes.

I keep your request as long as I need it to handle your job and keep normal business records. If you'd like me to delete it, call or text me and I will.

Text messages

If you leave "Text me back" checked, you agree that I can text you at the number you gave me about your request. These are replies about your job, not marketing. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. If you uncheck the box, I'll call you instead.

I don't share your phone number or your texting consent with anyone else for their marketing.

Analytics and ads

I use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.

When they are turned on, this site may also use these tools, which can set cookies or similar technology in your browser:

• Google Analytics and Google Ads, to measure visits and see which ads lead to calls, texts and quote requests;
• Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), for the same ad measurement;
• Microsoft Clarity, which shows how people use the pages (clicks, scrolling and anonymized session replays) so I can fix what's confusing.

These tools record things like the pages you visit and the buttons you tap, such as Call or Text. Clarity hides what you type into forms, and none of these tools receive the contents of your quote request. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings and in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.

Children

This site is for adults arranging work on their homes. It isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
