Working in Clarksburg
Clarksburg is the newest part of my area. It grew from about 13,800 people in 2010 to about 29,000 in 2020, and almost half the homes in the 20871 ZIP were built in 2010 or later, in neighborhoods like Clarksburg Town Center, Clarksburg Village, Cabin Branch and Arora Hills.
New houses still need a handyman. Builders leave out the shelves, curtain rods and TV mounts, and after a few years doors start to rub, trim joints open up and drywall shows nail pops as the house settles.
HOA rules matter here too. One Clarksburg HOA asks owners to get outside changes approved by its architectural committee first, and even a fence repaint has a list of approved colors. Tell me what your HOA approved, and I'll build or paint to it.
