Working in Bethesda
Bethesda's houses are some of the oldest in my area. In the 20816 ZIP, the typical home was built around 1959 and more than 8 in 10 were built before 1980. In 20817 it's about two-thirds. Downtown, around Bethesda Row and the Woodmont Triangle, most homes are condos and apartments.
Older houses need patient work: doors that have settled and stick, worn stair parts and trim, and walls that need the right anchors before a TV or shelves go up. If your walls are plaster, as many older walls are, tell me when you call.
In a condo, the job is usually inside your unit: mounting, shelves, doors and hardware, keypad deadbolts and grab bars. Check your building's rules on contractors and work hours first, and I'll work within them.
